Körner Tamás a magyar komolyzenei élet egyik meghatározó alakja. Hályogkovácsnak tartja magát, akinek nincs zenei végzettsége, de két évtizeden át a Budapesti Fesztiválzenekar igazgatója volt, nem közgazdász, de a magyarországi direkt marketing és brandépítés úttörőjeként egyetemi tananyag, nem tanult zenetörténetet, de övé az ország egyik legnagyobb lemezgyűjteménye.
