Ritmo 2025 filmpremier: Nefelejcs - Budapest Ritmo Világzenei Filmnapok 2025 / BARTÓK TAVAS
Director: Áron Mátyássy
Nefelejcs (Forget-me-not) takes a new look at the genre considered to be the ne plus ultra of kitsch, familiar to all those who live in Hungary: the imitation folk song (‘nóta’). Thanks to the singing of Ilka Kisgyörgy, the play of János Bangó and his band, the scenery of a suburban canteen, Áron Mátyássy’s fresh visual language and the humour of this film made for Ritmo 2025, this much-maligned genre will appear in a new light. ‘With their sophisticated instrumentation, gently flowing progressions and high emotional charge, the imitation folk song can still be relevant,’ say the young creators.
