A Békési Miksa forgatókönyvéből készült Magyar menyegző két budapesti fiatalember, András és Péter történetét követi nyomon, akik a 70-es évek végén Budapestről Erdélybe utaznak, hogy részt vegyenek András unokatestvérének lakodalmán. Az erdélyi, kalotaszegi faluban életre szóló kalandba keverednek. A két fiatalnak azonban hamarosan olyan döntéseket kell meghoznia, amelyek következményei kiszámíthatatlanok.
