What connects Hungarian folk songs with the music of Bartók and Kodály, and how do these same motifs come to life through the language of contemporary jazz? Zenében szabadon (Music Unbound) explores these questions in a unique musical encounter.
At this special concert, Junior Prima Award-winning jazz pianist Dezső Oláh joins the Budapest Philharmonic Society Orchestra to present familiar folk melodies in a fresh musical context. The meeting of classical music, folk traditions and jazz is enriched by the distinctive sound of the Vibratone Quartet and the ethereal tones of the vibraphone.
