What is a circus director to do when he has no company? At first, he just drifts around sighing – until help suddenly arrives in the form of István Csukás’s beloved storybook characters. The Griff Puppet Theatre of Zalaegerszeg’s colourful and musical puppet show entitled The World-Famous Pintyőke Circus! puts Mirr-Murr, Oriza Triznyák and their friends in the heart of the action. Out of an improvised troupe, a real performance is born, and from uncertainty springs joyful, unfettered play.

The world of the circus inherently attracts children. Alongside the spectacular tricks, comical situations, and lovable characters, the story also speaks of the importance of pulling together, helpfulness and the joy of creating something together. On the puppet stage, every movement counts, every character has their own distinctive humour, and the music further enhances the energy and spirit of the shared experience.
