Founded in 1999, the Liszt Prize-winning, Debrecen based Talamba has been one of Hungary’s leading percussion ensembles for 27 years - and as the title of their new programme - making its debut at Müpa - suggests, they keep moving forward, and their rhythm continues unabated.

The Beat Goes On… brings their signature fusion sound to life on stage. Joining them is singer, violinist, and percussionist Edina Szirtes “Mókus,” a long-time collaborator.
African and other traditional musical cultures meet Hungarian folk music, creating astonishing musical parallels, and the unique Talamba sound with percussion, voice, violin and live looping they craft - the only limit is the sky on this night.
