Representatives of two successive generations, they share the overwhelming euphoria of collective singing. They bring with them different musical experiences and unique approaches, while their roots are intertwined with the traditions of Hungarian folk music. Alongside fresh arrangements of Hungarian folk songs, the trio’s repertoire also includes music from other traditions – Roma, Bulgarian, Turkish, Greek, Sephardic Jewish and Portuguese –, and subtly blend the sonic worlds of these different cultures. The programme alternates between stirring, dance-like melodies and profound, lyrical moments, while the singers will be accompanied by seven excellent instrumentalists from the Hungarian jazz and world music scene.
