In 2024, Ilya Shmukler won four special prizes and the first prize at Concours Géza Anda international piano competition in Zurich. The Moscow-born musician’s talent was noticed at an early age. He gave his first solo concert at the age of 12, and made his debut with an orchestra at the age of 14. An important milestone in his career was winning the award for “best performance of a Mozart concerto” at the 2022 Cliburn Competition, and as the winner of the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall Debut Audition he performed at this famous concert hall in New York in December 2022. Ilya Shmukler completed his studies at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and is currently living in the United States, where he is continuing his studies at Park University (Kansas).
