Florian Helgath is one of the most active and sought-after conductors in the international choral world. He has been Artistic Director of Chorwerk Ruhr since 2011, and in 2017 he undertook the artistic direction of Zurich Sing Academy. As a guest conductor, he performs with some of the world’s most renowned choirs. He has extensive experience in many musical styles and genres and is equally at home in contemporary music just like he is in Romantic or Baroque music. He enjoys working with experimental ensembles but also feels comfortable with historical performance practice. Florian Helgath is also active as a teacher and has held a half professorship in choral conducting at the University of Music and Theatre Munich since 2024. This time, with the Choir of the Hungarian National Radio, he will be performing musical works by 19th and 20th century composers.
