2026. március 22-én, vasárnap 19 órakor a Rumbach zsinagógában George Gershwin zenéje kerül a középpontba. A III. Pészah Fesztivál nyitókoncertjén a Hot Jazz Band „Szerelmes Gershwin” című műsora a jazz aranykorának hangulatát idézi meg. Az együttes több mint négy évtizede a hazai jazzélet meghatározó szereplője, amely hiteles, mégis friss megszólalásban kelti életre a klasszikus amerikai jazz korszakának zenéjét. Az esten a jazz és a klasszikus zene határán született ikonikus darabok csendülnek fel, felvillantva a múlt század első felének pezsgő, elegáns világát.

Twenty-five years ago, four highly skilled French musicians decided to take the freedom of jazz and the pulsating sound of funk, and shape them into an entirely new concept by exploiting the possibilities offered by electronica. The experiment proved successful, and Electro Deluxe was born in Paris. Later, courtesy of American singer James Copley, the band discovered new vistas to explore.

This Blue Note album was compiled from the 1947–49 recordings of Theodore "Fats" Navarro following his death at the age of 26 due to illness and addiction. He played alongside the giants of the bebop generation, including Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, and Tadd Dameron.

Judith Hill’s concert is both an intimate and elemental journey, aimed at those who want more than just to listen to songs, those who crave a truly deep and inspiring musical experience. Her music is a perfectly balanced blend of soul, funk, R&B, and pop, wrapped in an intriguing and original vision.

South-Korean pianist Francesca Han, French double bassist Pierre Fenichel, and drummer Fred Pasqua combine their unique talents and worlds in Wakan.

Jazzbois first burst onto the scene at the 2017 Müpa Budapest Jazz Showcase. By 2023, they were hosting Kaláka as guests at the Festival Theatre, and, a couple of years later, they were conquering major international festivals: the Leverkusener Jazztage, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, and the Montreal Jazz Festival, to name but a few. Jamie Cullum also dedicated an entire BBC radio show to the band, including a conversation with Viktor Sági.

1929-ben, amikor először került kiosztásra a díj, 15 szobrocska talált gazdára. Ekkor még senki nem tudta a nevét, agyagból készült és a díjazottakat előre értesítették. Talán hihetetlen, de az esemény a média jelenléte nélkül zajlott. 1931 óta neve is van a díjnak, Oscar, 1953 óta a televízió is közvetíti, 1966-tól színesben. Ki emlékszik ma már a kezdetekre? A díjazottak százaira? Hogy ki nyert és ki maradt le az egyik legnagyobb filmes elismerésről? 90 év termését feldolgozni, dalokkal feleleveníteni nem könnyű. Michael Mayo’s family legacy and natural talent paved the way for him to blossom as an artist and eventually achieve global fame. As the third vocalist to graduate from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance, he has worked alongside the institute’s founder, Herbie Hancock, as well as with Kneebody, Christian Sands and Gretchen Parlato.
