A kiállítás az intézmény több mint 150 éve gyarapodó gyűjteményéből építkezik, hogy egyedülálló történeteken keresztül gondolkodjon és gondolkodtasson a múzeum magyar és nemzetközi tárgyai által őrzött tudásról.

A kiállítás a múzeum gyűjteményét alapul véve emel ki hét témakört: mézeskalács-készítés, nemezelés, a fazekasmesterség hagyománya, a pásztorkodás életmódbeli és díszítőművészeti vonatkozásai, hímzés és bútorfestés, valamint a természetes anyagokból készült gyermekjátékok világa.
