Throughout his career, Zoltán Zsuráfszky has been in a dialogue of poems and movements. In his choreographies, the world of movement inspired by poetry has always been present alongside traditional folk dance forms.

The Cherry Orchard dance theatre performance evokes the pain and beauty of change on the edge of a bygone world, where past and present are intertwined.

Located between present-day Hungary and Transylvania, Partium is a wonderful region rich in culture and colour. Its geographical boundaries changed frequently through the storms of history, making it difficult to determine the exact area of the original Partium.

Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.

Compared to Swan Lake, the well-known version of the classical ballet, I wished to rephrase the piece from another aspect, in a different light. In my interpretation, Siegfried is a young man with a split mind, who is being held captive by the traumas of his childhood as a result of his relationship with his mother.

Shakespeare egyik legismertebb vígjátéka egyben keserédes dráma a szerelem természetéről. Fiatalok vesznek el egy elvarázsolt erdőben, és miközben párjukat keresik, kiderül, hogy ebben a világban a szerelem csak függőség, a magány ellenszere. A kavarodásban a szerelmesek valójában egymásban keresik önmagukat – ez a keresés pedig boldogsághoz és boldogtalansághoz is vezethet.

Gyermektáncházba várjuk az érdeklődőket a Nemzeti Táncszínházban vasárnaponként 10:00-tól 11:30-ig. A programban moldvai és gyimesi népzene és néptáncok, énekes népi játékok, népmesék, a legkisebbek számára ölbeli játékok és kézművesség szerepelnek. Az esztendő menetét mondókákkal, a népszokások megelevenítésével követjük.

A flamenco sajátossága, hogy különböző ágai, más-más érzelmet fejeznek ki, így az öt személyiséget egy-egy “palo” hívja életre. A műfaj csak eszköze az üzenetnek, mégis a történet emeli ki annak sokszínűségét.

The story encourages children to set off on their own explorations, even in the realms of their own imagination. In fairy tales, all difficulties can be overcome—not only the real ones, but also the dangers created by an overly anxious imagination.

Two deceptively similar suitcases end up in the wrong hands. That is how the characters embark on an adventurous journey full of complications, misunderstandings, and comic situations, where no one is quite who they seem to be. In the confusion, the threads become fatally tangled.
